Public Speaking Course

Duração

Sobre o Curso

1 - Introduction to Public Speaking.
By the end of the course, you should be able to greatly reduce your fear of public speaking, use rehearsal techniques to develop a strong, energetic voice, and deliver a speech with dynamic movement and balance. The presentation models we practice can be used for speeches, elevator conversations, interviews, and even the structure of an hour-long presentation. If you are a beginner, this course will help you quickly learn the basics of presenting. If you are an experienced presenter, this course will help you better understand public speaking and take you to the next level.

2 - Specialization in Dynamic Public Speaking.
This specialization consists of four courses that will provide you with the instruction, experience, and practice to develop and deliver compelling presentations. Each course builds on a recognized knowledge of communication, rhetoric, linguistics, and presentation skills, balancing proven ideas with extensive presentation practice.
Professional courses should help presenters of all levels. If you are nervous about public speaking, this is for you! I have spent my life helping nervous novices become confident communicators. We take our time to develop specific skills that you can practice a few more times before giving longer presentations.

2 - Applied Learning Process.
Students will design, practice, record and receive feedback on presentations that can be used for inspirational storytelling (elevated and summarized presentations, rich slideshow presentations, persuasive policy and career advice). Upon completion of this concentration, students will have the experience and skills to design and deliver compelling presentations and will deliver a range of beautiful presentations.

3 Speaking and Presentation Concentration
This concentration is designed to help you find answers to your questions. It builds on the University of Michigan's award-winning course and seminar series that have been adopted by students in training in a wide range of fields, including law, business, medicine, social work, public policy, design, engineering, and more-it takes the guesswork out of the need for clear and persuasive communication.
